Fluctuations in OT symptoms

Hi Everyone!

Although I have been a member for some years, I have not used this facility a great deal. I have preferred to try to ignore my situation rather than confront it because my symptoms vary so much.
At best, it is just a nuisance and the tremor is slight with no pain or discomfort. For example, I can walk up and down stairs without holding on or leaning on anything. ( How I manage to walk down stairs in the morning is my yardstick for judging the state of my OT for the day). I may be as agile as this for up to 10 days at a time.
At worst, movement becomes impossible and my legs freeze. I can manage, with a great deal of effort and aching, to kick my legs forward and lurch, with a spastic movement, to somewhere where I can sit down. After a while, I have managed, with difficulty, to make my way out of any public area, at least so far!
This inability to move without spastic movements can last from 1 - 2 days to 2 weeks. However, for the next 2 - 3 months, I may be relatively okay. by this I mean that my condition varies between the best scenario, described above, and the difficulties commonly reported by other contributers to this forum.
I recognize that the bad times often occur when life has been particularly stressful or when I have been unwell but they can happen for no apparent reason. Something must be acting as a trigger but I cannot work out what it might be.
Does this happen to anyone else? Has anyone any ideas what might act as a trigger?
I intend to confont my problems this year as I am fed up with OT disrupting my plans!!
