This is a post from Richard in the UK we are testing ways to get everything posted here to. Some stuff will not be the same as USA or other countries but supermarket shopping is a real pain anywhere so any tips will be useful.


Morning all -

If, as I hope, we can become a 'force for change' in the UK, then I feel we need to address some of the current offenders.

In particular - at least as far as I'm concerned, as I do nearly all the household shopping - we need to get the Supermarkets on our side. This is my experience so far:-

Sainsbury's: very helpful, when asked. Indeed, I have got a checkout opened specially for me when I've explained the problem. I go and sit down on the seats provided just outside the checkout, and two - yes two! - girls pack and ring up my purchases. They then call me when it's time to pay.

Morrison's: they don't seem to have seating at the checkout. Indeed, the local one ahs no seats at all that I can find. Not helpful.

I don't have much experience with any others.

How have you all found things?
