Meeting with another OT Person!

Dear OT Friends: About a month ago I had the pleasure of meeting with Harriet, one of our OT friends who has added some very interesting input on the Forum. Harriet is a wonderful person with a great approach to life in every way. We live in different but neighboring States so we choose a place half way for each of us and that turned out to be the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Our choice was an outstanding background of art and architecture but whatever place it is, the fact remains, that you have the unique opportunity to spend time with someone that totally understands you and the OT that we live with. You sit and talk without the need to explain. At first you observe and compare how the other copes and find you are coping in the same way. The need to sit, walk or lean seems perfectly normal !!! You feel like you have been friends for a long time. I have met with other OT friends in the past and the experience is always memorable. Also through the website I have made friends from all parts of the world and most probably we will never meet in person but they have become treasured friends as well. Gloria
