Hello my name is Margaret and I am 30 years old. I was in a car accident in November of 2003 and I dont know what has happened to me. My left leg shakes all the time and the doctors have not found a diagnosis for me yet. I found this site and couldnt believe what I read it sounds just like what I have. I plan to go to more doctors hoping for an answer soon. I havent walked right in four months and it has been very difficult to want to do anything. I leave my house because I have to not because I want to. I have a child to care for and that is my motivation to get up and get out. My insurance company has denied me any more benefits with no diagnosis. They are saying it is not due to the car accident (i was hit from behind). I got whip lash, a pinched nerve in my neck, and two bulging discs in my lower back. I had an Mri of the brain which came back fine. I am in need of finding an answer soon.
In April I will be taking my daughter to a mother daughter dance sponsered by the Girl Scouts and would love to be able to dance with her but at this point it does'nt seem possible and that breaks my heart. This has been very difficult for us and would love to hear from someone soon.
Hope

So sorry to hear about your problem, it must be very difficult for you as a young mother. At this point you MUST have more evaluations and testing with neurologists. Is it just your left leg that has tremors? Are your shakes ( tremors) visable to the eye and if so OT is not? Also OT tremors occur in both legs at the same time. However, in a few cases OT people have reported as possible beginnings of their OT after physical traumas such as head injuries, surgery, bouts with viral and other illnesses, environmental chemicals( pesticides, herbicides etc.) and periods of intense emotional stress. I wish you good luck in your search for a proper diagnosis. Please stay in touch,
Gloria
