Listing your location when you register

One thing that I have noticed and I am fairly new to this website is that not everyone lists their location - Town/Province/State/Country when they register. I can't help but think that it would be helpful if we knew where people live as possibly if they were close to each other they might like to connect in person. The way it is now there are people who's location is unknown - maybe they prefer that, but sometimes it is easier to "get things done" when you can meet and talk about it.
