gabapentin dose?

gabapentin dose?
I find it very difficult to shop or go out alone, I am ok with my husband or other person who will allow me to clutch their arm, just a light hold is sufficient to steady me. I still only have a few seconds standing time though, then my legs become heavy and I feel as if I am going to fall although I never actually fall. I take 1800mg of gabapentin a day and would like to know how much other people take.
Elsie: Welcome to the website! As you probably have read gabapentin has been my medication of choice for almost 6 years. I find that it has helped me tolerate my symptoms better than when I was not taking anything at all. My dosage is 3300 mg. per day divided into 1100 mg
3x per day. I'm sorry to report that we still have nothing new that will produce the "silver bullet" effect. I do hope that others will report how they are doing with the medications they are currently taking.
When we shop or do anything else it is important that we move our bodies quicker rather than slower. I generally shop alone because I can walk at my own faster pace. A slow pace will bring on our symptoms and we tire faster. Holding on to someones arm or walking with a cane will produce the same effect. However it is nice to have someone with you to wait in lines to check out therefore it might be a good idea to workout your own mode of operation with someone!
