Is this the future for tremor treatments?

In one of the most exciting and thought provoking videos I have ever witnessed, this film (linked below for you to see) may be showing the members of this OT forum the operating room of the future, and what appears to have the potential to operate on and cure the portion of the brain which is the origin and cause of our Orthostatic Tremors.

Imagine, if you will, laying down on a motorized table which can slide your head into an open shell that is crammed with electronics and hardware capable of seeing inside your brain. Then, in real time, the medical technicians and doctors using MRI imaging, ultrasonic surgical tools and other devices controlled by software and mechanics can bring to bear in a very focused fashion the instrumentality that would end your tremors. This would all be done with no opening of the skull, no incisions and leaving you intact and capable of getting up and leaving the hospital that same day with no Orthostatic Tremor.

Dr. Kobi Vortman of Technion in Jerusalem, Israel shows us how this is already being done for a variety of ailments including the cessation of tremors in a Parkinsons patient. Does this mean that such a procedure could do the same for us providing that the exact area of the brain causing this disorder could be identified and localized?

That is a quote from this article from the USA based website for this same technique. This method provides guided focused ultrasound therapy to provide an incision-less treatment, through the intact skull, with no ionizing radiation.

In case you are wondering why I didn't search this treatment technique for "orthostatic tremor", I did. But we are still the red-headed stepchild in the neurological medical field and so I was presented with "no results". But, hey, that's okay if we can get through the swinging doors on somebody else's push, right?

I'm thinking that if Dr. Torres-Russotto can pin-point the area of my brain where these tremors are being originated, then the InSightec’s ExAblate Neuro could target that part of my noggin.

Hi Rich,
I too had posted a comment on this new type of treatment - it said it was used for Essential Tremor but hopefully in the future they will remember about us and we can "sneak in the backdoor" as you say also for help.

There is a clip on the posting I put on the forum also you can view - I did send it to Dr. Russotto also.
