Spinals, Spinal Taps Or Spinal Injections

Post by sandyberres »

I was wondering if any of you with OT have had any spinals, spinal taps, or spinal injections of any kind in the past BEFORE you got OT. I'm just thinking that it may be a cause of OT in some way. It may be a common thread that we all share.

Hi! Sandyberrres: I'm very interested in why you asked the question, because spinal taps are generally given to to help diagnose a problem rather than cause it. For instance my husband had Guillain-Barre' and he was given a tap as soon as he got to the emergency room after they heard his symptoms. Gloria

Hello sandyberres. I had a spinal injection inserted in the base of my spine, in a Hospital theatre just over 20 Years ago , it was to help me following a slipped Disc.
.50% cortosine and 50%anasetic slow release.....it worked.

The other day my grand-daughter was getting a spinal tap for a problem she is having, not OT. It just came to mind that I had a spinal when my son was born 24 years ago, not to see if something was wrong, but because of the fact I had to have a C-section. I just thought that it would be interesting to see if anyone esle with OT has had any spinal, spinal taps or injections. A number of people that I have heard from on FB have, and if they didn't, they had a bad spinal injury of some sort. So could this be some connection with OT. Just taking a survey. Maybe someday someone will help find a reason alot of us have OT. The more that answer the better, both yes or no. Thanks.

hello, I had a dorsal column stimulator placed in my cervial area for complex regional pain syndrome of my right shoulder (chronic pain related to nerve damage) on Oct 8th 2009, permanant electrodes were place in my spinal column and a generator was placed under the skin on my side (it like a tens unit but inside) about 3 weeks after that started to have temors and they have gotten increasely worse over time, prior to the stimulator being place I worked 40-50 hr a week in a busy emergency room as a staff nurse... hummmmm I wonder and been wondering, ask te doctor about it and was told he has never heard of it happening
