Looking for answers

I am starting to do some research about a problem I am having with my legs shaking when I go down stairs. At first I just assumed I had exercised my legs to much somehow and they were just weak from that but the problem has continued and is now almost a problem anytime I go down stairs. I currently don't have any problems standing in one place but am concerned it could get worse and become a problem with my job. I am a pharmacist and on my feet all day long and stand in one place for long periods of time almost daily. Just curious if anyone had any suggestions where I should start as far as getting a proper diagnosis and what I could do to delay or stop the process. Any comments, suggestions, or information with be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

When I first experienced problems with OT ten years ago, it took me well over a year to get a diagnosis. Unfortunately, my own GP was on sabbatical and the locum admitted being baffled by the symptoms and could only suggest joining a gym!! I really think it is necessary in your case to get diagnosed as soon as possible and I feel you should state very firmly that you wish to see a neurologist if your own GP can't help you. I eventually saw a neurologist when my own GP returned and he knew immediately, even then, what the problem was and was able to give me what little information was available at the time and prescribe medication which helped for a while. Don't be "fobbed off" - there is something wrong and you need - and are entitled to know - what it is and what's causing it. Good luck.

I am Happy today I will get my Nordic poles on Sunday ,,,,,Sad when I am unable to pick up my grandson, and carry him around , (however we are not house bound ) We can share our frustrating moment with each other ...with understanding
