SUBJECT: Fundraising Dinner and Quilt

This is a follow-up to my initial posting which went into the "Fundraising Section" of the forum under the title "Idea for Fundraising".

I had mentioned that I was organizing a dinner/barbecue at my home and had invited all my family and friends, doctors, etc. Dinner is take place on August 29/09.

Everyone who comes and donates to N.O.R.D.will have a chance to put their name in for a beautiful quilt that my two sisters and I created especially for this event.

The quilt is finished and I had sent a few pictures to some OT friends and they suggested I put the pictures on the forum to show everyone.

I have had a wonderful response to this dinner - as of today the amount of people coming is at 57 (one more day to cutoff) It is already a huge success because of this and I hoping that another OT person might decide to follow through with this idea for fundraising.

What a great idea to have this dinner! So refreshing to see an out-of-the-box idea to help fund research for OT. I am sure you will all have a wonderful time and while doing so, help more people understand what OT is. The quilt is beautiful as well, it is a showpiece of your talent and dedication. Hello Peggy!

Your fundraiser was last night and I think I speak for all on the forum when I say how impressed all of us are with your abilities to get things done!

I/we feel it was a tremendous success and we will be waiting to get a full report when you have recovered. How many did come ~ what was the final count?

Also....who was the lucky winner of that beautiful quilt???? I think all of us would like to be that person.

You make all of us PROUD!!!!
