Looking for anyone with levodopa responsive OT

Hi: I just found this site. I believe I have OT but I have been diagnosed with PD. Noone has ever mentioned that such a condition existed. I found out about OT by searching the web for "shakey legs" which led me to the Pubmed website. I have always been a problem parkie as I only seem to have it from the waist down! My tremor and resultant anxiety have pushed me to the point where something has to be done. I am on mirapex but the benefits are minor (perhaps dose is too low) but have had good response from levodopa (sinemet) until recently. It has some wicked side effects. Dr put me on 5mg Nitrazepam for sleep which is a Benzo and works well. I have big time shakey legs to the point where I cannot walk when meds are off. I may have some low level of PD but my leg tremor is consistant with what I'm reading on this website. I believe that part of my tremor problem is anxiety related -sort of a chicken or egg scenerio. I'm off to see my Dr tomorrow to try some of the meds that seem to work on OT. Anyone here have an experience similar to mine? Love to hear about it. e-mail me at joyomyheart@yahoo.com
