Doctors have discovered a tremor disorder in men over 50 that is being misdiagnosed as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other types of dementia.

Interesting report from the New York Times magazine section 2/28/04. Posted by the New York-Presbyterian-The University Hospitals of Columbia & Cornell.

There is a very small reference to OT in this article, but what is interesting is that it was published in a regular newspaper. It's amazing how little information trickles down to the general public, so it's encouraging to see a mention of OT in this story.

The central focus of this article is about dealing with essential tremors, and to that point, there are many common issues such as misdiagnoses, and public scrutiny.

"She says essential tremor is more common in the hands, usually sparing the legs from orthostatic tremor, or shaking while standing. The tremor is relieved when the patient walks. "
