Disability Benefit

As a new contributor and occasional participant I would like to say how much I am impressed by the general sense of humour and exceptional forbearance displayed by the mebers of our blogsite. Are these traits associated with our condition? There might be a Research paper in there somewhere to which we can all figure.
I have two questions.
1. How many people are recognised as OT sufferers (Worldwide and UK)?
2. Has anyone persuaded the UK authorities that this qualifies as a "Disability"? I did try a couple of years ago but achieved nothing beyond a patient 40 minute phone call and a polite "Rejection Slip".
If anyone can help point me in the right direction I will try and exercise the humour and forbearance for which we are famous.
Keep on shooglin!
