I am shocked about the cost of this drug.
My pharmacist says that it is not covered in Ontario, Canada.
Has anyone found a way to reduce the cost or to get it covered?

I presume that the online Internet advertisers are not an option. Who know what you are getting???

I am really surprised that the cost of Gabapentin is not covered by any drug plans in Ontario. Do you have an extended medical plan with an employer? Here in British Columbia my husband worked for the provincial government (now retired) and our extended medical drug plan pays 80% of drugs after the first $250.00. Gabapentin was covered for me when I took it a few years ago. Maybe there is a generic name for the drug that your plan could cover.....just a thought.

Hello everyone, I have not writtten for quite awhile and laughing forgot my user name so I have re-registered, but I have been on Nuerontin for some years now taking 3600mg a day and feel the need for more as my legs are getting worse, The cost of the tablets is getting beyond me here in Australia as the drug company Ptziser will not say it is suitable for OT. I have now reached pension age and finding every three weeks I need to buy more. I just wish teh drug companies could see this forum and realise how many people are taking the drug and add those who have not seen this web site.

MY HUSBANDS INSURANCE COMPANY COVERS MY DRUGS.
I AM FORTUNATE IN THAT WAY.
I Have never had to have any government help.
If i were on my own things would be different.
IT SURE IS EXPENSIVE IF YOU HAVE TO PAY.
I DO FIND THEY HELP.
I TAKE 1200MG A DAY.
