Hi All OT sufferers

II have just changed from Clonazepam 2mg per day to Gabapentin 300 mg once a day. I can hardly walk around the house and stagger around and I wondered if this will pass if I persevere.

Very confused at the moment re medication and would welcome any advice.

hi jean
i have not found any problem with gabapentin like you mentioned.
i take 1200mg a day.
my leggs are very very heavy without it.
i have been on it for 3 months now.
how was your other med doing for you?

Jean: I have been on Gabapentin for almost 6 years, now at ( 1100 mg. 3 X a day - total 3300 mg per day). It gives me more mobility to get through the day. Also we must learn to move our bodies in a quicker mode especially our walking, slow walking will bring on our symptoms sooner. I do not like to use canes or walkers because I find they tend to slow my gait. My meds give me the extra bit of time to move without them. How we cope with our OT is a personal choice, as it should be, but learn to use the extra time our meds give us wisely. Gloria
