Shower aids

Post by gardenlily »

I am having a lot of difficulty getting in and out of the shower. We have a grab bar and I have a folding seat but getting out is becoming more and more difficult.
Has anyone found any products that aid in this(shower base is only 30 inches wide).
I greatly appreciate any input.
Thanks.

I have the same problem. We installed a total of three grab bars but it is still like a total workout to take a shower. Yes, I have a shower chair. (Remember to place a face towel or small towel on the seat so that you don't slip off the seat when it gets wet.) I found it minimally helpful to dry myself off inside the shower while sitting on the seat (water off, of course) until the last minute. Only those of us who have OT can understand the stress and effort of putting up with the tremors. Good luck to you.
