walking and focused ultrasound

Post by margie1930 »

I have had O.T. for 7 or 8 years and have tried clonazepam and am currently taking 1800 mg. of gabapentin a day. I get some relief, but not enough. I do find it helpful to be active-walk 3 miles a day. I wish that someone would investigate the work being done on essential tremor and parkinson's with focused ultrasound. It is mainly being used at UVA, but also at other sites including Israel. I wonder if anyone else is following it? Margie

Hi! Margie: I have been on gabepentin (3300 mg.a day) since 2000. I like it because it is a "flush thru" it does not stop the tremors completely but it does help me tolerate the symptoms. I do try to set down before I feel the muscles contracting........I just answered you on your posting under the title " Sound Waves Can Heal Brain Disorders".
Please check it out, all the best, Gloria
