Quinine Sulphate

Post by Catherine »

Has anybody used this product? It was prescribed for me by my GP when I complained of being woken during the night by severe pains in my legs. Quinine Sulphate was prescribed (one at night) which I took for one night and the following day my tremor was much much worse and was nervous to walk at all as I thought I would fall. Horrible experience so did'nt take it again and back to usual tremors next day . Anyone else tried this?

My husband used to take this in the form of tonic water (with quinine - just 6 0z glass at bedtime) for leg cramps. It worked for him. OT cramps must have a different source of the problem. I keep hearing, even from my neurologist, that there is NO MED that helps OT tremors. We'll keep praying for a med for someday. The meds available now have too many untoward side effects in my opinion.
