Re: Breast MRI problems

[quote="Blossom"]Has anyone had problems with breast MRI imaging due to tremors. I have had difficulty with standing for a mammogram and on asking about sitting have been told it is not ideal for a good image so just grin and bear it. My oncologist and specialist radiologist recommendation...

Re: Where in the world is OT?

I finally found someone who responded! THANK YOU! I don't know if I'm not entering info and questions correctly, or if the site is just becoming defunct, or if no one wants to answer, or if there are no answers. Communicating with other "sufferers" of this rare condition creates hope. I've...

Re: Where in the world is OT?

I find it discouraging that there are very few recent postings by anyone with this disorder. It seems to be getting worse for me, with tremors in my arms and hands on too often an occasion. My neurologist told me that there is basically no research on this disorder. That too is discouraging. I live ...

Fluorescent Lighting

Has anyone else noticed that the tremors are worse in stores, function halls, etc., that use fluorescent lighting??? Or is this my imagination?

Participation

I am somewhat disappointed in the lack of participation from those "involved" in this support group. It's nice to know we aren't alone with our condition, but most of the responses are very old. And why am I receiving a notice that states: "You cannot make another post so soon after y...

Re: Quinine Sulphate

My husband used to take this in the form of tonic water (with quinine - just 6 0z glass at bedtime) for leg cramps. It worked for him. OT cramps must have a different source of the problem. I keep hearing, even from my neurologist, that there is NO MED that helps OT tremors. We'll keep praying for a...

Re: Statins for high cholesterol

It would appear highly unlikely that any pharmaceutical manufacturer would willingly admit to even the suggestion that we are discussing. Good luck with your mom's situation. It's a tough decision to make since for years we have been brainwashed into thinking about the dangers of hyperlipidemia with...

Statins for high cholesterol

I've been wondering if the long-term use of statins such as atorvastatin (Lipitor), fluvastatin (Lescol), lovastatin (Mevacor, Altocor), pravastatin (Pravachol), simvastatin (Zocor), and rosuvastatin (Crestor) could have brought on OT. Has anyone read or heard of this relationship?

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction

Jo, welcome to the group. It's somewhat calming to know that you are not alone with your condition. I hope you soon find a neurologist who can accurately diagnose your condition. Just knowing what it is helps mentally. At first (two years ago) I thought it was my imagination. One of the hardest thin...
