I am really happy to hear of your success Lorna. It has really encouraged and inspired me. I have just finished weaning off Clonazapam this week and have a Doctor's appointment tomorrow. He wanted to see how bad my tremors were without medications. They are defintely worse now than ever before and a...

Meds for OT

Hi Kaylie Nice to hear from you. Good luck with your new meds and keep us posted on your progress. I was up to 4 mg of clonzapam daily and awhile ago my doctor decided to toally wean me off it before he puts me on gabapentin. I am still in the weaning off process and I guess clonazapam was helping s...

Meds for OT

Hi Gloria Nice to hear from you. Gabapentin is a great drug for many things as you have mentioned. No wonder it didn't work for me - my dosage was not strong enough. I was taking it for another reason at the time ( they thought I had a nerve problem in my back - which I didn't) and found in conjunct...

I am only on Clonazapam .20 mg a day and will probably be having it upped soon. I tried Gabapentin (400 mg) 3 times a day as well ...

Medications`

Happy Spring!! Glad to here that you have weaned yourself off your medications. Sometimes feeling good in the head is better than having a tremor. I am sure you have learned to cope with your tremors as I have. I will be doing a similiar things as well. I am currently weaning off the Gabapentin (whi...

Balance - Jacqueline's questions

Hi again  I really should preview my submissions. I am a terrible typist. Further down it should read I am waiting for an MRI on my back not MTI as I wrote. I have had a CT Scan and MRI on my brain and everything was normal except for some nonspecific findings in one area which my doctor said ...

Standing at work

Dear It was really nice to hear from you. I do find my job very tiring but hopefully this is the last year I will have to work there. We are seasonal so are usually laid for a few months towards the end of May and I am hoping to take early retirement in September if all goes well. My husband had bee...

Dear Gloria! Happy New Year! Thanks for responding. I will ask my doctor about Gabapentin next time I see him. Had a great short holiday in Calgary, Alberta seeing some of my family (very cold -27C) My OT seemed worse at times probably because I was quite tired and did drink and party a bit. But, we...

I find your information interesting as I have been on a low dose of get Estrogen for the past 3 years to help me through menopause. I had severe hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings before this. I ...

Merry Christmas everyone and keep smiling in 2005. :) This is my first time on the forum and am feeling a bit down right now. My tremors seemed to have increased lately which I find annoying. Probably because I have stopped Gapentin which I was taking for a damaged nerve in my back and leg. That has...
