Thanks. So, you only take the magnesium supplement before the time of the month you would feel the symptoms coming on or do you always take it? Because I started taking magnesium about 6 weeks ago, every day, along with zinc, selenium and biotin, because of something I read about regarding a medicat...

Anyone also suffer from orthostatic hypotension?

My doctor believes my OT's result from my orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure resulting from standing or sitting too long, resulting in the pooling of blood in my legs, not enough blood getting to my brain, thus the tremors...) I am taking Midodrine and Florinef, which are blood pressure med...

Do any of you females relate more OT's to your time of month

My OT's seem to come more in cycles. I am at my worst from the first day of menstruation and that will continue for the following two weeks and then the third week will get a little better. Then the week before menstruation, I hardly have any symptoms. Then it starts all over again as soon as menstr...

Still having similar problems as in June...OT's???

My neuro is still saying they are OT's but I am not convinced that that is all that is going on. He put me on Topamax for seizures which is controlling the tremors I was having (for the most part) but now the episodes I was having resemble narcolepsy instead of seizures. I do have a lot of problems ...

Hi, Just wanted to post again and let you all know that I asked my neurologist about OT's and told him that from what I've read, the tremors only affect the legs and not the head, shoulders and arms like I am having (along with the lower body). He told me that I shouldn't believe everything I read o...

Betty, Thank you so much for also responding. I did research on the atypical tonic clonic, but looked into it a little more today (thanks to you) and realized that just because an EEG comes back normal, it does not mean that you don't have epilepsy. I've never had a "seizure" while having ...

Hi Lynda, Thank you so much for responding. My neurologist did say I have Orthostatic Hypotension, which he said results in OT's. I just don't understand if the upper body seizure-like shaking is associated with the OH or OT. From what I've read, it doesn't seem to fit. Thanks for the website. The s...

Thank you Gloria. I decided to fax my complete diary of the last two months over to my neurologist today and asked him to take a second look to see whether he believes that OT's are the diagnosis, or if he believes something else is also going on. I hope he will get back to me soon. For now, I am in...

Gloria, Thank you for responding. I am more confused than ever now. See, I get the weakness in my legs while standing. I can walk normally at an even pace, but upon stopping or standing in the same position, I get weak at the knees and have to sit. BUT, I also have episodes of mild to severe jerkine...

Newly diagnosed with OT

I am new here. Was just diagnosed today and am on a quest for information. I'm so glad I found this website. For two months, I have been having episodes when sitting or standing. I begin to get very weak in my whole body and then start shaking. I always have to sit or lay down and then my whole body...
