Bathroom scales
Hi! Has anyone found a bathroom scale that reacts instantly when you stand on it? I find that most scales take too long to determine the number. Since the tremor starts almost immediately, the shaking also confuses the weight measuring. I presume that a mechanical scale would react more quickly than...

OT and VACCINATIONS
Does anyone know if it is safe for someone with OT to have a vaccination to protect against TICK-BEARING ENCEPHALITIS? Has anyone had this vaccination? There is a precaution for anyone with "cerebral issues" or having "any brain illness (such as demyelinating disorders or poorly contr...

Re: Acupuncture result
Yes, I have had a few sessions with acupuncture and each time there it has been helpful, however the effect wears off in a few days, so I would have to do it often and there are costs involved.

Re: Newly diagnosed with OT
Theresa, how are you doing now. About upper body tremors, Rich and others have already described this well, but with OT any weight bearing limb can have tremors, so that leaning on the arms on a counter for example will produce tremors. I also find that sitting without a back support to disperse the...

Re: Gabapentin - does anyone have any expierience of this drug?
I take just 3 or 4 300 mg tablets per day and am doing OK on that level. It took a while to get used to the drug and I started in very slowly. At first one per day - on which I felt weird, then got used to it and added the other two bit by bit. I have not taken more since then less sharpness and dro...

Re: Mirapex
Anyone happy with using Mirapex? Or not at all happy with it? After trying CLONAZEPAM and also GABAPENTIN, I have just started to try MIRAPEX. Took a tiny bite day before yesterday in the evening. Another tiny bite in the morning, and again in the evening yesterday and today. Too soon to say if it w...

Cost of Gabapentin/ Neurontin
I am shocked about the cost of this drug.
My pharmacist says that it is not covered in Ontario, Canada.
Has anyone found a way to reduce the cost or to get it covered?
I presume that the online Internet advertisers are not an option. Who know what you are getting???

Anyone using Clonazepam and Gabapentin together?
If you are using BOTH in some kind of combination, was it recommende by your doctor? Did it help? What about side effects? I used CLONAZEPAM for several months and am currently having problems switching to GABAPENTIN. It's only been a week and am still on just 300 mg of GABAPENTIN which I take once ...
