Re: How is everyone?

Hi Mike, I just watched your video and knew exactly what you were feeling. I could relate to everything you said and found myself holding my breath and curling my toes when you stood and the exhaustion you felt when you had to sit down. It's very hard to explain what we feel to others, who don't hav...

Re: Physical Therapy

Hi Bobbi, As Gloria mentioned, we met a while ago at her house. I was very interested in your comments and have a few questions. When did you go to the Cleveland Clinic for PT? For how long a period of time? Do they have a facility here in NJ? I'm also interested in the type of PT you do. You mentio...

Re: NEWS FROM DR. TORRES-RUSSOTTO & TENTATIVE OT MEETING

Hi Peggy,
It's so nice to know that things are starting to happen. I would definitely like to participate in the study. Besides, I've never been to Nebraska. Should be interesting.

Re: NEW TO OT: ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES/MEDS

Hi, If you take a look under "Accupuncture...it works", you'll see that a few of us have tried accupuncture with varying results. I was going a couple of times a week for several months, with no improvement at all. For Dan it seems to have worked. I'd really be interested to see how you do...

Hi Everyone,

We're getting so close. I just made my donation. It's so easy to do. Just go to "link to Nord" and give whatever you can. Let's get the research going in our lifetime!!!!!

Re: Acupuncture!!!!!! It Works!!!!!!

Lynne and Dan, Lynne-I don't know how you go to work with OT. I retired in 2000 and was just beginning to feel the effects of it. It definitely has gotten progressively worse over the years and I know that I would not have been able to continue working. I wish you all the best. Dan-You're really luc...

Re: Acupuncture!!!!!! It Works!!!!!!

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd let you know about my experience with acupuncture. When I saw Dan Murphy's post about his experience, I figured it was worth a try since nothing else has worked. I found a really nice acupuncturist who had nver heard of orthostatic tremor but was very interested in help...

Re: Vitamin B

Hi Lynda, My original neurologist incorrectly diagnosed me with neuropathy and put me on B12 shots, which I took for many years. They had no effect, so I stopped taking them. My current neurologist, who knows that I have OT, suggested that I start taking them again. So that's what I'm doing, but unf...

Re: Together we can stand up to OT

Hi everyone, Just think about this. There were almost 400 OT members at last count. If each one of us donated $100 there would be more than enough money to get the research started. I think this would be money very well spent. I sent my share in as soon as I saw the posting last year. Please join me...

Hi Gloria,
In response to your question, I was diagnosed in N.Y., but live in New Jersey. I'm only about 50 minutes from Manhattan.

Another newbie

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I was just recently directed to your website by my current neurologist, Dr Paul Greene, who has a practice at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in N.Y. Up until that time (10 years), I had seen many neurologists who either had never seen my symptoms before or made the wrong di...
