Re: Florida clinical trial
One year + report: On Feb 7 & 8 2017 I had the treatment at he Univ of Fl. The OT treatment lasted for 6 months then gradually faded to where I'm back to where I started. Dr. Hu phoned me and I returned to the Univ of FL on March 30th, 2018. I had 6 electronic monitors taped on my legs and two o...

Re: Your experiences with OT Medications
Hi, I have several postings under the Florida Clinical Trials which you can read. I've tried a whole list of medication, all of it for Parkinson's. None of it helped my OT and many med's side effects were terrible. I take Primidone for my upper body tremors and it works well but does nothing for my ...

Re: Florida clinical trial
On 7 & 8 Feb 2017 I had the clinical trial treatment at the Univ. of Fl in Gainsville. After about 6 months my OT problems slowly started to reappear. A year has passed and all of the positive effects of my OT treatment have disappeared; I'm back to all of the classic problems of OT. Will there ...

Re: Florida clinical trial
Warren: Thank-you for the continued 10 month status reporting of your slowly regressed stimulation therapy however hopefully repeating the stimulation again will start you on another 10 month session of some OT relief. Please continue to report the results as you did the first time. Thanks, Gloria ...

Re: Florida clinical trial
10 month OT status: I had the stimulation therapy on 7 & 8 Feb 2017 at the Univ. of Fl in Ganesville. Initial results were great but I've now slowly regressed almost to the my OT status before the treatment. I can't stand still, period. I lean against something, hold onto something, or preferabl...

Re: Florida clinical trial
Hi, I underwent the therapy on Feb 7 & 8, 2017. I've repeatedly asked Drs Hu & Shukla about any one-on-one followup with other patients or in-state "therapy club" and have never had any answer. They seem to want a "close hold" on all of their trial information. This is t...

OT 6 month update
Hi Gloria, I'm having a terrible time finding how to create a new update post. I'll let you reconfigure or re-post this if necessary! On Feb 7 & 8, 2017, I had the complete OT treatment at the Univ. of FL in Gainsville. I did not attempt a post last month since there was no significant change. B...

Re: Primidone
I've tried Primidone and it very nicely helps my upper body tremors. It is/was useless for my legs.

Five month report: On Feb 7 & 8, 2017, I had the clinical trial treatment at the Univ. of FL in Gainsville. Little has changed since my Month 4 report except that standing (moving or not) is becoming somewhat more difficult. I'm becoming increasingly more uncomfortable standing. "Uncomforta...

Re: Florida clinical trial
Greetings to all. I had the clinical repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy on February 7 & 8, 2017, administered by Dr. Wei Hu as supervised by Dr. Shukla at the Univ. of FL in Gainsville. I learned of this program on line and emailed Dr. Shukla. She evaluated me of 1.5 hours on ...

Re: Florida clinical trial
Hi, Dr. Shukla who is in charge of the OT program at the Univ. of FL is to present an abstract in Sept. 2017 to "OT Meetings". This is all I know. I think they tested 11 patients - now, is that enough research to really see how effective the therapy is? I don't know. Their budget is limite...

Four month report: On Feb. 7 & 8, 2017, I had the repetitive magnetic stimulation therapy at the Univ. of FL in Gainsville. After 4 months, standing still does nicely but after a while I become uncomfortable standing still - my legs start to feel weak. All I have to do is move around somewhat vo...
