Re: Where in the world is OT?
Hi Joyebelle, I am in NSW but there is another newbie on the introduction forum who is from rural Vic, who may be near Warragul. I love visiting Gippsland - it is a beautiful part of this country.

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction
Hi Kris, so exciting to find another Aussie so quickly after posting my introduction. We have some things in common, including our ages. Not sure if you have always lived in Vic, but I was born there (Melb) and visit often.

Re: How is everyone?
We slept last night on top of cotton sheets with the door open and the overhead fan going. 36 degrees celcius here today, and 40 yesterday. I had noticed that I am getting hotter during the night (not just now but also during winter) - I thought that was just getting older and a little closer to men...

Re: How did you describe OT to your doctor before you knew?
I said "I can't stand for any more than about a minute, but it is weird because I can walk completely normally". What I googled for was "legs shake when standing still" and "legs weak when standing".
Re: B12 poll
B12 was one of the things I looked at before diagnosis. In my research I discovered that there are discrepancies between countries in the level that they consider deficient. My test of about 350 was considered OK here, but I notice that other countries consider under 500 to be deficient. On that bas...

Re: What causes OT? Farm / life abroad / insect repellent
I wanted to add my experience to this thread, as I am probably the exception. Out of your "nine" list, I would score myself a dubious half a point. Never lived in a farming community or on a farm, not an outdoor type of person, not overly fond of gardening (hubby does that), moderate use o...

Re: Standing Time? this is how long I can stand...
I have just been diagnosed, and showing symptoms for just over 12 months. I can stand without problem for about 30 seconds, but it all goes wrong very quickly after that. Nancy, I just experienced that in the airport. I waited (seemingly forever) to be the very last to board, staying seated within v...

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction
Hello, my name is Fiona and I live near Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. I was diagnosed with OT last month. Actually, I diagnosed myself thanks to this wonderful website. When I found the description of the symptoms of OT on this site, it was like a lightbulb went on. I took this t...
