Looking for neurologist open to new ideas - Tampa Bay area?

Can anyone recommend an open minded neurologist in the Tampa Bay area? A few years ago, I went to one in Sarasota who used Prolotherapy in his practice. It helped measurably but was expensive, not covered by insurance, and a long drive from Tampa where I live. I'm vegetarian and until a couple of ye...

Re: Wheelchairs

7/2/08 Hi, I got a prescription from my neurologist for a wheeled walker with a seat. Medicare paid for a basic, aluminum one and I upgraded, paid about $60 extra for a great, black vinyl walker that folds up to go in the car. Got it at a medical supply store. It has a large pouch under the seat whe...

Yes, tremor starts in right upper leg, appears to be associated with hamstrings. I was told by a Chinese medicine doctor that tremor starts there, and a Swiss masseuse recently told me I have a noticeable energy block in that location and recommended Shiatsu. Occasionally I get a cramp there, though...

Hi, Sorry to be so long answering your post but I have't checked in for a while. I think your doctor's explanation of adrenaline flowing is apt, but ask yourself what is behind that reaction. It seems to me that if sometimes the tremor is worse than othrs (it is for me), there have to be many factor...

Hi, According to energy healing and alternative medicine theory, when the immune system is strong, disease can't gain a foothold and the body will overcome attempts to weaken it. Of course, by the time we are diagnosed with POT, disease has already gained a stronghold, so the idea is to find out wha...

Alternative treatments

Hi, I'd like to ask Cheryl why she switched to Ambrotose from Chlorella. Was it graduating to a different level or did you continue to take Chlorella while you took Ambrotose> I immediately ordered Chlor. after reading your post and am planning to go back to my integrative doctor to work on strenght...

Sue, It is actually a weakness, I believe, and as you clench your leg and back muscles to try to stand, they go into spasm. I have been working with a physical therapist and doing prolotherapy, both have helped to relax the muscles. There are also strengthening exercises you can do lying down and in...

Alternative medicine

Wondering if anyone else is trying alternative medicine approaches? In the past year, I have explored nutrition and supplements (huge help, found I had food sensitivities that were weakening my system), yoga , Bowen therapy, colon therapy to detox, and prolotherapy to strengthen ligaments (back pain...
