Keto Lifestyle and the reduction of tremors.
Does anyone else have any experience with a Keto lifestyle and the reduction of tremors. My tremors seemed to have become less since I have been on Keto. I have lost 85 pounds in 6 months. Keto is said to help to create a better balance in the brain between glutamate and GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Aci...

Perampanel
I am on day 2 of taking Perampanel. I took a shower standing up today as opposed to on the chair. I felt some slight unsteadiness but no shaking. Normally when I get out of the shower to towel off my toes curl for steadiness, while they still did that, I think it was an unconscious response as I did...

Re: Perampanel
I went to my doctor today and got a prescription for Perampanel. This is a drug neither he or the pharmacist were aware of. It is an approved drug in Canada and covered by my insurance. I will do my best to report on effects/results over the coming months.

Off balance in the dark
As my OT’S continue to progress as I age, I am finding that I am having more difficulty walking around in the dark, becoming more unstable and taking very short strides. This happens mostly whenI get out of bed to go the bathroom and try to not wake up my wife. I am wondering how much the reliance o...

Performing tasks above head
I am not sure if others have experienced a severe almost instantaneous worsening of OT when performing tasks with arms reached above the head, but it is a real issue for me. In two instances installing a ceiling fan and a light, while needing to slightly stretch to perform the work, or work off a st...

Re: Pathological ponto-cerebello-thalamo-cortical activations in primary orthostatic tremor during lying and stance
I tried to interpret report. Here is my layman interpretation. The brain uses glucose as a primary source of energy. Glucose is delivered to the brain via the blood-brain barrier. Glucose is converted into glycogen and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Both of these are used as energy to fuel the cells ...

Captured OT Readings Graphically
Today we closed our swimming pool which is a medium strenuous activity, I had some of the worst OT's I have ever experienced. We have a safety cover which is spring loaded and required pulling some heavy duty springs over a pin. You need to use significant force to do this as you stand bent over the...

I was just wondering if anyone finds they have signs of OT when they are swimming. My OT has gotten progressively worse and I noticed today when I was in the pool I had no problems even standing up, however as soon as I got out the tremors were noticeable. Just wondering about others experience.

Hello All My name is Dave and I have was diagnosed in 2010 as having OT and appeared to have some signs of it in 2008, although I think my high levels of physical activity may hAve masked some of the symptoms.
