Re: has anyone used Medical Marijuana to help with spasms and rigidity?

I'd be interested in knowing what kind(s) they recommend especially if they recommend an alternative to smoking. I'd also be interested in learning what strains they recommend. thanks. :) I received a medical card for both oral and inhalation and both low and high THC. I, personally, couldn't toler...

Re: having DBS surgery next week

Thanks Ren for that as I'm in process of analysing all info before making decision to have DBS IF CONSIDERED suitable. Would have to go to UK as not done in Ireland Joan Sheila Hey Joan! Just thought I'd post an update a year after DBS. They finally got me programmed right. I've also started taking...

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction

I was just diagnosed with OT a few days ago, and have been experiencing my legs shaking uncontrollably while standing and feeling unsteady on my feet, I didn't know what it was, so I finally got in to see a Neurologist and she has prescribed Neurontin, I hope it works, this has really changed my li...

Has anyone tried Primidone for OT? Also did it work?
Thank you.
Bevnix

I was on Primidone. 100mg 3x/day. It worked great for quite a few months and then when they upped it to 400mg/day, I had allergic reactions to it. Personally, I thought it worked great (when it worked).

Re: Cannabis Oil

I had posted a query a few years ago on the efficacy of cannabis to the alleviation of our condition. As I never received a reply I assumed that this might be a taboo subject. Some people with MS that I know swear by the relief from their symptoms (which are similar but patently more disabling than...

Hello, My name is Laura. I have been referred to a neurologist and can't get in for a month. My daughter has been scouring the internet because I recently started having tremors in my arms and legs. The symptoms in my legs are exactly as described on this site. But do any of you have consistent, vi...

Hi Michelle It would be wonderful if they can replicate the success that you had while in the hospital. I did a quick search and found several other posts on the forum related to jaw tremor: Hi, I have this too. I feel like my jaw and tongue get worn out easily. It is the same ache I get in my legs...

Permanent Makeup

Alright, so this is more of an "accommodation" for OT AND ET, especially for those of us still in the workforce or just because. I'm pretty low maintenance, but I do prefer to wear eyeliner. That was becoming difficult to do, as my dexterity and fine motor skills in my hands are non-existe...

Re: I tried Wellbutrin (Bupropion) . Think it works for me.

Dear All, I`ve waited a few months before sending this post. I have found some relief from taking a med with few side effects. In the UK the drug is markets as an anti-smoking treatment. In the US as an antidepressant. Bupropion or Wellbutrin are the common names (Zyban in UK) I gave it a try becau...

Re: Medication

Renaely, Thank you for responding on the forum - I did not get a private email from you. I did send one to you. I am curious if you have had DBS and it is working, why you would still want to take Klonopin? I will check out the Valerian Root, Thank you Peggy Peggy, I didn't receive your email eithe...

Re: Medication-clonazapam new to it

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, the diagnosis and everything. My questions is this. I am on clonazapam (Klonopin) .5mg twice a day. It makes me so sleepy that I am sleeping most of the day. This of course will not do. I cannot go through life sleeping all the time. I know that sometimes it takes a bo...

This is being asked of Renaely who posted that she had success using Valerian Root and proprandol (beta blocker). It would really be appreciated if she could give us an update on if this is still working as it has been close to 1 yr. since she tried it. Thank you Peggy Peggy, see my response to Glo...

Re: Medication

renaely: As most have been reading on the website I have been using Gabapentin as my med since I was diagnosed with OT because it is a" flush thru" med. It never stopped the tremors completely ( there is no such medication ) but served it's help during a good portion of my diagnosed OT li...
