Re: Sound Waves Can Heal Brain Disorders
I am aware of the trials with focused ultrasound for essential tremor and now parkinson's. Is there any possibility of using it for orthostatic tremor?

walking and focused ultrasound
I have had O.T. for 7 or 8 years and have tried clonazepam and am currently taking 1800 mg. of gabapentin a day. I get some relief, but not enough. I do find it helpful to be active-walk 3 miles a day. I wish that someone would investigate the work being done on essential tremor and parkinson's with...

Re: DR. MEUNIER, FRANCE - UPDATE ON STUDY
Gloria, The report from Dr.Meunier in france is very intersting and encouraging. Is anyone in this country following up on this work/ I will be following this work and hoping to hear of greater sucess. I wish someone ( Univ.of VA. would pick up on this. I am so hopeful that the answer lies in this a...

Re: Eye related movement disorder
I may sound like an old record. but I think we will only be cured when they find the site in the brain that is causing the tremors (the way they have for essential and parkinson's) and destroy the tissue the way they have for the other two-focused ultra sound. The article in the latest Fortune magaz...

Re: Eye related movement disorder
Hi Jane,I posted 2 questions , but don't see them and wonder if you got them. I'm happy for your success and hope it continues. I wonder if you wear the glasses all the time or only when you are standing and also if you are taking any medication. I hope you continue to have success . Margie

Re: Eye related movement disorder
Hi Jane, Your experience with prisms is very interesting and promising. I have a couple of questions. Do you wear the glasses all the time or only when standing? Are you on medication such as clonazepan? When you say you had some set backs can you relate them to any particular situation? Do the glas...

focused ultrasound therapy
I really feel that the work being done on essential tremor and parkinsons with focused ultrasound therapy at the Univ. of VA. and other places holds real promise for OT and would like to see consideration given to it. OT is a body tremor which quite likely originates in the brain as do the other two...

Fortune Magazine Article
The June 30th issue of Fortune Magazine will have an article describing the work being done with Focused Ultrasound Therapy. I have written about this before and suggested that it might very well be applicable to OT. The info that is lacking is the brain(?) site of origin. Study needs to be done to ...

Re: focused ultrasound therapy
I know that the site of origin of the tremors has to be found before focused ultra sound can be used. Is anyone working on brain imaging that will locate that site. I really think it is similar to Parkinson's and ET and would think it could be found if someone was to work on it.

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction
I just returned from my 3 mile daily walk. why can I walk 3 miles, but can't stand in the shower? I am interested in the magnetic resonance work being done in Australia and the ultrafocus work at UVA on essential tremor and wonder why I can't find anything being done in this country on OT. I would b...

Re: New to the forum? post a quick introduction
I am new to the forum and wonder if anyone is using clonazepam and primidone. I have been
on clonazepam for several years (0.5 mg. twice a day and don't get too much help. I recently read
reports of using primidone and plan to add it to the clonazepam. Has anyone had experience with
this combo?
