Re: Orthostatic Tremor: An Update on a Rare Entity
I will admit to cloudy thinking at times. Some tasks requiring intellectual abilities seem more daunting than they used to and take me longer to complete. My Neurologist has told me some of it is a side effect of long term Neurontin use. Only a small percentage of patients have this side effect. I a...

Re: Standing Time? this is how long I can stand...
Hello Gloria and all of my OT friends. Happy New Year! I believe I am one of the fortunate ones as far as standing time goes. I have had OT about 13 years. With Neurontin, I can still stand for several minutes. I don't feel like it has progressed in several years. I do have an occasional bad day whe...

Re: Reports from the Omaha Meeting and Research 2014

Dr Torres and his staff are amazing and I am so grateful to them for their efforts. Peggy works so hard for us too and the meeting went smoothly. We are raising money and have awa...

Hello Mary, I have gone to Dr. Joseph Jankovic at Baylor at his Movement Disorders Clinic for ten years. He is very knowledgeable and has done research on O.T. There are a number of other doctors in the clinic as well. You would get fine care there. My best to you, Maggie

Re: Reports from the front lines at the Omaha OT Conference
Several people asked me for the name of my travel bag with the built in seat, and I didn't have it with me in Omaha. I have looked it up. You can find it online at walkinbag.com. I bought the Zip2 seat .... Wheels swivel, you can lean on the handle like a cane, seat folds flat to the back. The only ...

The Walkin" Bag- Zip Cart-Seat
Hello to my fellow friends with OT. I am leaving for Europe soon, and I have not found the need to use a wheelchair yet while travelling. I found a wonderful carry on bag with wheels and a handle that can take weight, so you can lean on it a bit. The bag rolls sideways, or behind you. Best of all a ...

Re: Thanks for OT meeting
Myrna, I have OT and have posted on this site before. I also have developed sleep problems in the past year or so. I was diagnosed in Houston about six years ago, and I take Neurontin, but took Klonipin for a few years. I have disturbing dreams and find that they are hard to shake when I first wake ...

Harry, Do you mean Lyrica? My doctor at Baylor Medical Center in Houston just prescribed it for me. I started taking it two days ago. I have taken Neurontin for several years. It has helped, but I still have plenty of issues with tremors. You give me hope that this new drug will be even more benefic...
