setting up a foundation

I don't know what it will take, but I think there are more of "us" out there then we know about and I think we need to get some research done. So, perhaps setting up a foundation is a good idea, if not too much of it went into overhead. That is always the problem, i.e. paying someont to se...

other meds to try

I have given up the beta blockers which left me too lethargic to move and am now on topomax, which is actually a migraine medicine, 100 mg./day, with 100mg./night of primidone (antiseizure med.) with some good results over the last year plus. Still need a shopping cart for long trips but I can do so...

Fight the depression

Response to Lauras31... I have had recognizable OT for several years now and it hit just as I was retiring from 20 years of teaching and planning a long and active retirement. I also have a new Grandson that I am afraid to pick up and hold sometimes because I am afraid of losing my balance. I finall...

response to diag08..

Hi, there, I hate to speak from so little experience but I think your doctor may not be on the right track. I had very low blood pressure all my life, only getting 'spikey' after menopause. The neurologist put me on propranolol (about 100mg /day) and primodone (at night only) which lowered my BP eve...

new drug ideas

Hi, I'm new to this site and finally doing something proactive, i.e. research on my condition. I take propranalol (about 80 mg. throughout the day) and primidone (nights only). I always had low blood pressure and I get the feeling that with these drugs lowering the pressure even more I can hardly fi...

vertigo related?

Query to Chris, my actual clear onset of OT seemed to occur after a severe bout in inner ear inflamation that had me reeling with vertigo for several weeks. Do you have any indication that the two conditions are related? My first go round with the doctors kept missing the OT because they blamed my l...

introducing myself, a new member

Hi, I have been disabled by OT for several years, with a correct diagnosis only more recently. I find myself getting down about not being able to do the things I have always done easily. I have led a fairly physically active life until this hit. I still look quite fit although I have gained nearly 2...
